STRENGTHS
1. The line and scope of administrative functions of the identified units are reflected in the organizational structure which has been continuously reviewed and presented yet awaiting PSU- BOR approval.
2. The academic Unit Head and faculty have educational qualifications that more than adequately meet the requirements prescribed by CHED or the BOR and are all holders of valid professional expertise.
3. Having been ISO 9001:2015 certified, certain policies, procedures, and management schemes expected from the various administrative units are to some extent already in place.
4. There is specific budget appropriated for the plans, projects, and activities proposed and the basic and/or actual needs of the different administrative offices.
5. Regular conduct of performance evaluation for the administrative staff is evident.
6. Judicious exercise of professionalism, good relationships, and general work satisfaction as well as commitment to serve among the stakeholders and the administration are apparent.
RECOMMENDATION NO. 1:
The Student Handbook may have to be reviewed to include recent issuances and decisions concerning the welfare of students. Such policies are related to establishing maximum residency rule, increasing rate of retention, assisting students with special needs to complete their studies, among other issues.
COMPLIANCE:
The student handbook stipulates University’s policies, rules and regulations and major concerns for the interests of all bonafide student of Pangasinan State University. In line with this, there is existing policy on the residence requirements and maximum residence Rule under Article II of the Student Handbook 2016. As well as, to improve the welfare of students, a draft of the new Student Handbook was initiated by the Campus Student Coordinators. Heads of Student Services Unit and Student Services Coordinators are working on the Revision of the Student Handbook.
