Awards and Distinction

With regards to awards and distinction, the Library receives various recognitions within and outside the University for their valuable contributions and commendable services extended to the academic community.

Listed below were the distinctive awards and recognition received by the Library Manpower:

A. As a Consultant

Ms. Angeles B. Gacad and Miss Jessa Mae O. Norberte were invited as consultants for the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) during the Curriculum Consultation with Industry Partners Program at Urdaneta City University on August 20, 2020.

B. Library Outreach Program

The Library Manpower actively participates in an outreach program that promotes and supports the habit and benefits of reading wherein they donated storybooks (big books). This activity was conducted in Cabaruan Elementary School on November 15, 2021 in line with National Reading Month.

C. Best Employee of the Year

Ms. Angeles B. Gacad garnered the Best Employee Award besting all the candidates from the nine (9) campuses of the Pangasinan State University.

E. Officer of the PLAI-IRLC

The Campus Librarian is a perennial officer of the Regional Association of Librarians in Region 1 for 2015-2021.
