Academic Assistance for Faculty Members
To fulfill “Objective 1. To support faculty members in obtaining advanced degrees,” and “Objective 4. To support faculty members in attaining higher academic ranks,” academic assistances are given to faculty members.
As is stipulated by the Civil Service Commission, minimum requirements for permanency includes holding graduate degrees. In order to aid the faculty members’ pursuance of graduate degrees, academic grants and assistance are provided by the University and by external agencies.
The University provides several forms of institutional academic grants and assistance. This is to enable faculty members to pursue higher studies such as master’s degrees (for temporary members) and doctorate degrees (for permanent members).
The following are the faculty members of the IT Department who was granted with academic assistances by the University.

The faculty members are also granted with scholarships from external agencies in order to promote technical and research knowledge from different institutions. The university supports the faculty members in attaining these scholarships through endorsements of the faculty members to external agencies.

Meanwhile, the faculty members who have plantilla items and are currently pursuing their graduate degree are qualified to apply for a time release given that the faculty member is/are: (a) in comprehensive examination stage; (b) currently enrolled in thesis writing (preparation, data collection, final report writing, and other related activities for the completion of thesis); (c) enrolled every Saturday but the subject/s is/are only offered during weekdays; and (d) travel requirements for those enrolled outside Pangasinan.
