The Information Technology Department is a research-oriented department. All faculty members aim to participate in research endeavors, including (1) making research proposals, presentations, and publications within and outside the university, (2) assisting in undergraduate student research as an adviser or panel member, and other endeavors. The IT department contributes to the research publication targets of the Urdaneta campus by actively publishing research every year to institutional and Scopus-indexed journals. As we can see, there were three (3) faculty members with Scopus-indexed publications in 2021 together with Professor Frederick Patacsil. Through his encouragement and mentoring, other IT faculty members were able to publish.
