Pursuance of Graduate/Post-Graduate Degrees
As is stipulated by the Civil Service Commission, minimum requirements for permanency includes holding graduate degrees. The following tables present the status of pursuance of master’s and doctorate degrees by the members of the Information Technology Department.

Pursuance of Master’s Degrees (Temporary Faculty Members)
Holding a master’s degree is one of the minimum requirements for permanency as stipulated by the Civil Service Commission. As such, temporary faculty members are pushed to obtain such degrees related to their specialization. The figure below shows that 59% of the IT faculty members are master’s degree holders while 41% are currently pursuing their master’s degree in IT and allied courses. This shows that all faculty members are actively pursuing their advanced studies to further their knowledge and be able to provide quality instruction.
