Instructional Material Development
The instructional materials development process state with the emergence of new or revised or enhanced syllabi. The enhanced syllabi are reviewed by a faculty or a group of faculty to determine the need to develop an instructional as assigned by the Campus executive Director on the College Dean. After which, the faculty and the College Dean shall be prepare a plan for instructional materials development based on the need. In the IMD plan, the assignments of the faculty, budgeting requirement, time table are indicated and is submitted to the office of VPAA and faculty to the office of the President for approval.
Once the IMD Plan is approved the faculty members will now proceed to the actual writing and preparation of the IMs. In case the IMD Plan is not approved, the committee will comply with te reasons why it is not approved and submit the IMD Plan to the CED who will endorse to the office of VPAA and to the President for approval.
When the IMs are finished, it is tested on its validity and reliability to the intended clienteles. If the IMs are found to be valid Campus Committee of Instructional Materials Development and Production headed by the Campus Executive Director as chair, the concerned College Deans as Vice Chair, Chairman of the Development of the faculty who submitted the instructional, who are atleast Assistant Professor in rank and expert in the subject matter and tenured for tem (10) years. The campus comitee,after evaluating the IMs found to be consistent with the criteria; it is the endorsed to the University Committee on IM develpment and publication. The University Committee is headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs as Chair, Director for Curriculum, Instruction and Accreditation as Vice Chair, two (2) faculty members, at least Associate Professor in rank, tenured for ten (10) years and expert along the subject matter as members for final approval for its printing and distribution.
The IMs are assessed of its effectiveness by the faculty and students who are usig them through these suggestions and recomendations. This gathered suggestions and recommendations are used to improved or enhanced the IMs.
The IMs are them improved or enhanced and again noted by the University Committee for Instructional Materials Development and Publication for printing and distribution for instruction delivery.
