PSU-LGU ICT Konek

The PSU-LGU ICT Konek Project is one of PSU’s flagship projects amidst the COVID-19 pandemic that aims to provide students with learning spaces and services through the university’s close collaboration with its stakeholders. This project also aims to bring the University ICT resources to the LGU’s for use primarily of our students who are not economically capable to buy their own ICT resources, and other students as well coming from other HEI’s.

The launch started with signing of the memorandum of agreement respectively which were led by the City Mayor of Urdaneta and Campus Executive Director of PSU Urdaneta. Faculty members of PSU Urdaneta Information Technology Department also did an ocular inspection of the venue located at the 3rd Floor Balikbayan Hall, Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center. After that, faculty members were given schedules to facilitate the operations of the project every day. The schedule was prepared by the department chair, approved by the college dean and received and acknowledged by the city mayor.

The kick-off ceremony of the project happened on November 16, 2020 at the Balikbayan Hall, Urdaneta Cultural and Sports Center, Urdaneta City. The event was attended by 40 participants including students, faculty members and local government representatives.

For students who want to utilize ICT resources provided by PSU, they have to visit the given link, https://www.picktime.com/psulgurdanetaICTkonek for reservation. Once approved, they have brought proof of enrolment (e.g., registration form, student ID), face mask, and face shield.
